Stallion Goldfever

The great show jumping horse Goldfever competed by the leading german rider Ludger Beerbaum. Goldfever descends from the Zangersheider Stallion Grosso Z With a profit sum of more than 2 millions euro he is one of the most successful show jumping horses of all times. Besides it is also a licenced and achievement-examined stallion, however it is momentarily not used as such.

Sire Grosso Z is highly regarded for his versatile influence, given he produced the international jumping star Goldfever as well as the international dressage stallion Goethe. Grosso Z earned a spectacular 148.85 points in his stallion performance testing, given his wonderful basic gaits, rideability and jumping ability. His offspring's indisputable successes in sport have given Grosso Z a dressage rating of 131 and a jumping rating of 138.

Approved at Verden in 1993, Goldfever finished eighth in his performance test the following year at Adelheidsdorf, with the good jumping index of 122.63. He started competing with Claudia Freise and caught the eye of Ludger Beerbaum's sponsors, Dieter and Madeleine Winter-Schulze, who bought him, Initially ridden by Ludger's bereiter, Dirk Dahlmann, Goldfever made his sensational debut at the Bundeschampionate in 1997.

A string of good performances at Berlin, Munster and Bremen followed. In 1999 they were second in the Audi-Championship and in the Grand Prix of Donauueschingen, won at Walkenswaard, Berlin, and the took out the Championship at the German Classics in Bremen, beating World Champion, Rodrigo Pessoa. Selection in the Olympic team for Sydney followed with Ludger Beerbaum.

Ratina Z

Ratina Z, has properly been called “Mare of the Century.” Perhaps Ramiro Z best known daughter, she was once described as the best horse in the world after several Gold and Silver Olympic medals and winning World Cup performances. The super-mare Ratina Z, is the dream of the show jumping world, winning double Olympic gold medals (1992 and 1996) at the Barcelona Olympics, and the World Cup of 1993. She is the oldest daughter of Ramiro Z and Argentina Z, ridden by Piet Raymakers and Ludger Beerbaum, whom won World Cup Finals, the European Championships, the Grand Prix of Aachen, individual Olympic Silver, double Olympic Team Gold, Team Gold at the WEG, and twice team gold at the European championships. Argentina Z her dam is another Heureka daughter (by Alme) produced with Ramiro the following stallion sons: Rebel I Z, Rebel II Z, Rebel III Z and Rock Z all world famous and her full brothers.

Ratina Z was born in Belgium in Lanaken at Studbook Zangersheide from the breeder Leon Melchior. She was at first successful under Piet Raymakers (NL). 1991 won both the crew European champion title and by the olympic games in Barcelona (1992) the gold medal with the team as well as silver in the single. After which Ludger Beerbaum went on to many fine achievements and took her through to her retirement.

Ratina Z is sired by the legendary stallion Ramiro Z out of Argentina, a daughter of another famous stallion, Alme with whom it all began for Leon Melchior. Her sire Ramiro still ranks number 16 on the 2003 World Breeding Federation jumping stallion rankings. He is arguably the most influential jumping stallion ever. He has become world famous world wide and is duly called the Euro-stallion of his day. Preferent Ramiro decends from the famous male linage combination Rainmond - Ramzes x - Rittersporn xx.

Her dam Argentina Z is a girl of Alme and Heureka Z (Ganeffx Falerner). She was born in Stoeterij Zangersheide in 1977. She is the mother of the approved standards Rebel I, II &III Z (81,85,86), Renomee Z (89) by Ramiro ansi that Rock Z (88, by Rebel I Z). She also produced the mares Roxan Z (83), Renome Z (87) and many others.
Ludger Beerbaum (born August 26, 1963) is an internationally successful German rider who competes in show jumping, and has been ranked the No. 1 Show Jumper in the world by the FEI on multiple occasions.

Ludger Beerbaum is the oldest of 4 children, his siblings being Ruth, Monika, and show jumper Markus Beerbaum. He has two children: Alexander and stepdaughter Vivien. He is also brother-in-law to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum.

Ludger Beerbaum was born in Detmold, Germany. In school he took Business Studies, but eventually gave it up for a career in show jumping.

Beerbaum began riding on a Highland Pony at the age of 8. He had a very successful career as a Junior and Young Rider, which continued into his adulthood. His most notable accomplishments include winning 4 Olympic Golds (his first at age 25) and numerous European and World Championship medals.

On Sunday September 21, 2008, at the Samsung Super League Final in Barcelona, Ludger Beerbaum was a member of the winning German Nations Cup team. He was awarded Leading Rider of the 2008 Super League, along with 50,000 CHF ($46,000). In the Final he rode the nine year old Westphalian gelding, All Inclusive NRW to a double clear round, and was one of only two riders to do so, his team mate Marco Kutscher being the other.

Ludger Beerbaum has had a glittering carrear as a show jumper he has often found himself ranked no 1 in the world and has won 4 Olympic gold medals his first age 25, he has also won numerous Grand prix’s as well as many European and World Championship medals.
